Welcome to the first veto competition of the season!
[Power of Veto]
[Dick, sheryl, Keith, Adria, Braden, Scott]
Here are the rules for Chenopoly:
You each start off with 30 points. You will then make purchases of property on the Chenopoly board.
Purple and Sky Blue spaces cost 2 points.
Olive and Orange spaces cost 4 points.
Yellow and Green spaces cost 6 points.
Red and Blue spaces cost 8 points.
Any points left over will accumulate to your total.
The point of the game
To end up with the most points.
How do you get points?
Any property you purchase will accumulate 100% interest for whoever lands on it (Spaces that cost 2 points will earn 2 points, spaces that cost 4 points will earn 4 points, etc.).
If more than one person owns the same property, you will split the earnings (since this is a business setting, the split will be rounded down).
Who will be playing the game?
The host and co-hosts of course! We will be using the dice roll function on AIM to travel around the board. If Jen, James, Brian, or Enzo land on your space, you earn points.
But if Julie lands on your space, you earn DOUBLE.
How does this affect me?
I'm glad you asked! Along with posting in your DR which properties you would like to purchase, you must also post which co-host (Brian, Jen, James, or Enzo) you would like to represent.
This comes with pros and cons. If the co-host lands on your space specifically, you earn double. And if the co-host lands on free parking during their round, you'll earn rewards (+5 points).
However, if the co-host you pick ends up in jail, you'll bail them out (-5 points).
Each player will roll until they land or pass "GO" twice.
What do the spaces mean?
The "?" Space moves the player to a random spot on the board.
The "!" Space provides a chance for houseguests to earn points.
The Jen, James, Enzo, and Brian spaces are transport spaces. If a player lands on James, the player will move across the board to Brian (and vice-versa), and if the player lands on Jen, the player will move across the board to Enzo (and vice-versa).
The "Go to Jail" Space makes the player go to Jail.
The "Free Parking" Space allows for the player to give money to houseguests that represent them.
The "Just Visiting/Jail" Space is determined when the player is just visiting or in jail.
The "GO" Space is the starting and finish line, to be passed twice for the player to finish their turn.
Every other space is a property space.
What do you need from me?
To create a thread in your DR, state which properties you would like to purchase (provide the color and number e.g. Sky Blue2, Green3, Red1), and state which co-host you would like to represent (Julie is not an option; Julie represents all).
Any questions, just ask!
