Pre-Game Jitters: HOH Competition 1

Though the first HOH competition is still underway, I’m already starting to fill like I’m in way over my head with this whole Big Brother competition. Maybe it’s because I’m new and I'm still trying to get a feel of how things work, but I sure am feeling like the odd man out. I don’t know, maybe it’s the paranoia talking, but I feel like I’m targeted. Yesterday, Braden asked the fellow Iwazaru roommates for all their chenbucks to ensure he gets HOH and in return he would keep them safe. I guess you could say I called him out on the action, but not really. I just asked him a couple of questions to gauge his intentions. I meant no harm, but I can see this coming back to bite me.

I don’t know what it is about Braden, but I don’t trust him right now. Maybe it’s because when I first met him he had a smug smile, sunglasses on, and was wearing a business attire with suspenders; he looked like he just got fired from The Apprentice. But really I can’t talk, because someone found and posted on the house wall an atrocious picture of me wearing a seashell choker with my head shaved and glistening in the light like Mr. Clean. I thought I had gotten rid of that picture, it was a very awkward stage in my life that I don’t wish to be reminded of. Thank you to whoever dug it up! I mean for goodness sake, I look like the alien from the movie, Mac and Me. If you don’t remember the movie from the late 80s, do yourself a favor and Google the title and click images. You’ll have a good laugh…at my expense, that is, considering that’s me you're looking at.

On the Block: Bring on the Veto Competition

Great, I'm forced to eat slop and now I'm nominated for eviction. Can't say I didn't see the latter coming. Apparently I need to be more active, which I agree with. However, the things the other houseguests consider fun are playing "Big Booty" and voting in uninteresting polls. Two things I really don't consider fun and would rather not participate in, then do join in and act fake like I'm enjoying the experience. Then again, I guess you do have to act fake in this game at times to win and get ahead. We'll see if I can win this veto competition coming up, and if not...well I guess this will be the last time you hear from me.

Oh, and don't get me wrong, James R. has got to be the best BB recycled staff member and as for worst...well I'm still deciding on that, lol.

Lol, and that's why what? I'm nominated? Yea...I already deduced that. I'm not knocking their fun nor am I trying to act like I'm above it all, I'm just saying my definition of fun is different. I'm more for the HOH, Food, and Veto competitions than anything else. But yea, I realize Big Brother is as much a social competition as it is everything else. Like I already stated, if I still happen to be in the game after evictions, than I have to start being more social and I welcome the challenge.

Mr. Miyagi’s Advice

Yesterday I had a crazy dream where I got advice from a wise Asian man to start initiating conversations with the other houseguests. It was an eye opening experience, and when I finally woke up from my nap I set out a goal to become more active and talk to as many houseguests as I could. I spoke with Braden, Dick, Dustin, Jameka, Adria, and Cassi. My conversations with the latter 3 were just your standard “Hey, how are you enjoying the game…blah blah blah….”, but with the others they were every informative. It turns out I missed a lot of things by being in the background…who’d have guessed?

From talking with Braden, it turned out Dustin had been trying to get everyone against Braden. The conversation went a little like this:

So even after talking with Braden, I’m not sure if I can still trust him in this game. Of course he would say I’m safe for now, because he has bigger fish to fry. It’s not like we established any sort of alliance or “Hey I got your back” dialogue when we spoke, so I’m definitely going to keep talking with him to gauge my standing with him.

So yea, I feel like I just made a deal with the Devil. I don’t trust Dick at all. But honestly, he has a good chunk of chenbucks, and that means power in my book. He could buy his way out of most situations, so I’m sticking by him until I get more chenbucks or he loses his.

Me, Dick, and Jameka and Carol (shes been really inactive so whatevs) formed an alliance before the game began. We got others to give Dick money, so he could be HoH. When we found out Braden was begging everyone for money, we thought he was shady and couldn't be trusted, so we asked Dick to nominate him. Well, Dick formed another alliance with Braden that was apparently better than an Alliance of 4. So he nominated you and sheryl. He told us that if Scott used the veto, Braden would go up. So, scott used it, However, him and Jameka had a fight so she went up. And when I talked to him about it, he was mad at me so when she got off, I got on. Thats when he vetoed you himself, and put us up next to each other. I think he's a dumbass for ruining an alliance of 4 Week One, but thats what happened, and thats why we're here.

So Dustin revealed a few things to me, but for the most part it was things I already guessed by talking with Braden and Dick. He mentioned the alliances he knew of, but I definitely got the feeling he was holding back of some of the information. Dustin didn’t play his cards right and should have handled the game better to prevent where he’s at right now, so I have a lot to think about when it comes to my vote today.

A New Week: A New Keith...

So I got fourth in the HOH competition and in the food competition this week. I think I’m starting to show people that I deserve to be in the Big Brother, and that I’ve improved since the first week. A lot more people have started initiating conversations with me instead of the other way around, and a houseguest even commented on my progress.

I consider Adria to be one of the stronger competitors in this game, so the fact that she noticed I was getting better made me feel good inside. Hopefully she hasn't started seeing me as too big of a threat. I'm anxious to see if I can maybe form some sort of alliance with her as the game progresses.

All in all, it's been a good week so far. Then again, maybe I’ve spoken too soon because Lori has yet to give her keys away and announce her nominations for eviction. Well whatever, at least one thing’s for sure…I’m not eating slop!!! YEA BOI!!! ;D

Escaping Eviction…For Now

*Whew* I’m glad I didn’t end up leaving the Big Brother house. Honestly, I don’t know how things would have turned out. With the recent conversation I just had with Dominic, I’ve now spoken and gotten to know all the houseguests. However, I still don’t feel like I have solid enough relationships with them to prevent myself from being nominated for eviction this next time around. If sheryl hadn’t been expelled, who knows what would have went down. Sure, most of them say they want inactives gone first, and sheryl was more inactive than me by all accounts…but I dunno…I still think most of the houseguests might have seen me in the same league as her, or maybe I’m just getting bent out of shape.

Yea, I think it’s the latter, cause I’ve definitely done my best to show the houseguests that I’m nothing like sheryl. I’ve spoken to all of them now and gotten some good conversations started, as well as increased my presence in the House activities and competitions. Hopefully, I can just win this HOH competition coming up. That’s my main focus and goal right now, because I don’t want there to be any possibility of me being nominated yet again. Speaking of winning HOH, I spoke to Lori earlier and she asked who I would nominate if I won:

Lol, she made sure to sign off quickly after saying her peace, I couldn't even get one final word out. I don’t hold it against her for asking and trying to see if she’s safe this upcoming week if I win, because honestly I’m not even sure who I would choose. I would like to shake the house up with my nominations, but with these chenbucks it’s not really the smart move to make. The strong threats have enough money to take themselves off the block, or to change nominations up themselves. The only true way to be safe as long as the chenbucks are around is to win HOH, that way no one can touch you.

Week 3: The Pawn

Thank goodness I placed 2nd in the Family Feud competition, and was able to receive a good chunk of chenbucks from it. I now have enough money to take myself off the block, but I'll wait for the POV competition before I decide if that's what I'm going to do. Adria spoke to me secretly to discuss the fact that she was going to put me up, but wanted me to win the POV competition.

So throughout that whole conversation I was rolling my eyes. I know what happens to pawns in Big Brother...they tend to be evicted. I wasn't going to fight Adria on her choice, because I knew she had her mind set on me and Parker and I wasn't going to change that. If her nomination choice was purely strategically she should have went for Jameka and Scott. Both don't have enough chenbucks to save themselves, though Jameka does have a veto she could still use that was given to her by Lori. That is, if she can even still use it this week now. Nonetheless, I don't agree at all with Adria's nominations but hey, that's the game.

I played the situation cool, so as to not upset her or cause her to target me even harder. Right now, I'm going to do my best to win the POV. If things work out, great...if not I have some cards up my sleeve. One of them happens to be getting someone to play the Everybody's Veto. I'll see how serious Adria was about wanting to take out the bigger threats without people getting mad. Because honestly, if the Everybody's Veto is played then it would be in everyone's best interests to vote out Braden or Dick. To vote anyone else out after that veto is played is a waste.

Man, it's so hard to believe people in this game. I'm not sure if I believe Braden would do this for me. We have never before talked about setting up an official alliance or anything, all we've ever done is just talk. We usually just talk about random stuff and a little bit here and there about how we feel participating in this Big Brother competition. Nothing that serious, so the fact that he says he made a mistake last time not using the veto on me is suspicious. Why would he call it a mistake when I was up against sheryl at that time? Was there someone else intended to be up for eviction, but the plan didn't go through? Man, this game gets you thinking.

In our previous conversation, Adria said people were thinking about going after Braden...At that time I thought it was because he was a threat, but maybe it's because he had a falling out with some people. Dang, who knows. I'll wait and see what happens with this POV competition. If I win, then I don't have to worry about anything. If I lose, well then we'll see if Braden wins and is being honest with me. But if he loses too, well then I'm back at square 1 trying to escape yet another eviction.

So once again I have escaped eviction for the week. Man, this is all getting crazy. I was quite surprised that Braden stuck to his word and actually used the POV on me, but then Adria put me back up the moment she had a chance, which sucked. After that happened, I had so many people approach me trying to come up with ways to get me off the block or ask if I was buying a veto. Braden, Scott, Lori, and even Carol and Adria all hit me up at one point in time during the veto meetings. It seems that in the end there was a huge plan to backdoor Parker and put him up for eviction again against Carol, eventually voting to evict Parker.

It sucks what’s happening to Parker. If it were just up to me I would have Carol leave the house. Parker, in my eyes, is more active than Carol and Parker and I have spoken more. I played dumb with Lori, because I wasn’t sure whose side she was on. Whether it was Parker’s or Carol’s, so I wasn’t going to tell her who I would really vote for. With the Big Brother house it’s better to vote with the majority and everyone I’ve talked to seems to want to vote Parker out, so I guess that’s what needs to happen. I don't like being a puppet and following what others tell me, but in Big Brother sometimes you have to be just that in order to not become a target. I have to win some more chenbucks, though, if I want to Houdini my way out of future nominations. Large amounts of chenbucks are my saving grace if I don’t win HOH or hold the Golden POV.
